Dano Festival
Dano is a public holiday in North and South Korea to celebrate the end of spring as the summer season is welcomed. This day marks the start of the growing season, when farmers have finished sowing and planting and Yang energy is at its highest level.
Historically, this day was intended for spiritual rites and the arts where people would dress in blue and red. Traditionally, women wear dyed hair pins and men weariris roots around their waists to ward off evil spirits.
Cultural Infusion offers Korean Classical Dance in Victoria and New South Wales.
