Nirvana Day
Nirvana Day is an annual Buddhist holiday that commemorates the death of Buddha when he achieved Nirvana at the age of 80. Buddhism teaches that Nirvana is achieved when all need and suffering have disappeared, hence, Nirvana is believed to mark the end of the cycle of death and rebirth. This day has been observed for thousands of years, primarily by Buddhists in China, Japan, Korea, Tibet, Vietnam. Since the date is not exactly known when Buddha died, some Buddhists observe this day on February 8th, whilst the majority of Buddhists observe it on February 15th.
Cultural Infusion offers a diverse array of workshops from many of these cultures.
